Feb 22, 2022 - We are so excited to announce that 13 new schools, called APPLE ally schools, officially joined the APPLE Schools community. This increases our annual impact to 87 schools, reaching almost 30,000 students!

APPLE Schools selected to scale project to 100 schools by 2026

Dec 2, 2020 - APPLE Schools was selected as one of only 11 national ventures for the LEAP Healthy Futures Accelerator! Over the next five years, we will be working closely with LEAP, who will provide us with strategy support to scale our project with the goal of reaching even more students in 100 schools by 2026!

APPLE Schools project team accepted two awards

Oct 6, 2017 - In the last month, our project has received awards from the Northland School Division No. 61, and Fort McMurray Public School District. Both awards recognized us for championing healthy schools in the districts, which makes us feel incredibly honoured.

New resources to promote physical activity and mental health

Sep 7, 2017 - We have been working hard over the summer to develop six new monthly campaigns and a mental health bin, and we supported Ever Active Schools in creating alphabet animal activity cards. APPLE Schools is expanding its reach

Aug 22, 2017 - We will soon support healthy kids in healthy schools in Manitoba and the Northwest Territories, and are changing our extension name to reflect that. We are currently working with school jurisdictions to identify two schools in each province/territory that can greatly benefit from our project.
